MIRAPRO is pursuing the sophistication of existing businesses and integrated businsiness. Ultra-high vacuum technology accumulated in the science and technology field is applied to inspection and treatment equipment in the medical field. We are also developing a superconducting flywheel power storage system using cryogenic technology that is closely related with vacuum component and equipment design and manufacturing technologies.

State-of-the-art ultra-high vacuum equipment

Exploring the scientific field with accelerators has resulted in many Japanese researchers awarding the Nobel Prize in Physics.
Mirapro’s vacuum technology also contributes to this field.
The technology cultivated in the accelerator has been developed and provided as a Large-scale Cryogenic Gravitational wave Telescope KAGRA.
Furthermore, it is applied to synchrotron radiation facilities as physical property analyzers for the development of new products, MRI technology for grasping the inside of the body, and radiation inspection and treatment equipment for cancer treatment. By combining Mirapro’s equipment design / manufacturing technology with vacuum component technology, we are contributing to the foundation of a wide range of social activities.

Superconducting flywheel energy storage system

The superconducting flywheel energy storage system is a system that stores electricity by replacing the energy that the flywheel rotates with.
In the past, small flywheel energy storage systems have been developed, but they have been impractical due to the low power storage. Supporting a heavy flywheel and less rotation loss has been an obstacle to size increasing. But combining the superconducting technology of linear motor cars with Mirapro’s vacuum technology, equipment design and manufacturing technology, a practical energy storage system has been developed in the railway and industry.
